Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin popular music scene has been affected through his worldwide impact. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 won the Colombian Kids Choice Award as Favorite Song for the year 2017. The year 2017 saw the release of ADN the first of his long-players for La Industria Inc. in Medellin. On the Top Latin Albums chart, it reached No. 8. Vaina Loca, which was an album that was a Top Five smash hit in 2010 featured him along with Ozuna. He dropped Dopamina the chart-topping sophomore album the years following. Later in 2021 he performed an duet with TINI's smash streaming single Maldita Foto. The hit song La Bachata from 2000 was released in 2023. Turizo came from a musical household his mother and older brother are both musicians. In his interviews, he's talked about playing music as an obligation. When he was a kid, he began learning to play saxophone guitar ukulele and piano. While his initial career goal was that of an animal veterinarian but his brother Julian convinced him to try studying singing with an instructor in Cuban. This transformed his life forever.
