Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musical family. She was raised listening to traditional Boleros from the past and traditional romantic and Ranchero songs. Ana is passionate about opera and tangos, as well as the dramatic shows that she attends. Her mother taught her to sing, however she started intensive singing lessons by Flavio Belcerra when she was just 16 years old. Belcerra was an internationally acclaimed Mexican opera Tenor. Her musical education continued in the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was part of a variety of opera choruses and chamber ensembles. When she moved in the United States, she performed in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. After 2002, she made her way to southern California. She's a regular solo performer at events, private parties and other occasions, performing the traditional Latin American Music. She is passionate about performing, music, and the arts keep her engaged in local projects in both her capacity as an artist and instructor. Ana was a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is presently a professor of The Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to have the opportunity to be able to share her love for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes that this will inspire younger generations to keep the tradition alive.
